What this means when you use MIDI Manager
MIDI Manager processes only the files and folders you select. Buying, activating or using MIDI Manager gives you a licence to use the software; it does not give you rights to third-party music, arrangements, lyrics, MIDI/KAR files, metadata or other content.
Use content only when you are entitled to do so under the rights you hold, permission you have received, a licence, or an applicable legal exception. The exact rules can depend on the content and your jurisdiction.
Musical data and arrangements can have their own rights
A MIDI or KAR file can contain musical performances, arrangements or other creative material. A file being available online, on an old disk or in an archive does not by itself mean that it is free to copy, publish or distribute.
MIDI Manager does not determine ownership or clear third-party rights for you.
Lyrics are separate content
KAR and some MIDI files can contain lyrics, text events, copyright notices and other embedded text. Rights in lyrics or text can be separate from rights in the musical data or arrangement.
MIDI Manager may read and display this information as part of local analysis. That does not grant permission to republish or distribute it.
Metadata is not all the same
Titles, artist names, technical fields and other metadata can come from different sources and can have different legal status. MIDI Manager can help organize and correct metadata, but it does not certify that every metadata field is free of third-party rights or restrictions.
Processing locally is different from redistributing content
MIDI Manager is designed for local desktop workflows. Organizing, analysing or making working copies on your own computer does not automatically give permission to publish, upload, sell or redistribute the underlying content.
If you export, share or publish files or derived material, you remain responsible for having the rights needed for that use.
Keep independent backups
MIDI Manager uses safety-oriented and copy-first workflows where appropriate, but software is not a substitute for an independent backup. Keep a separate backup of important source files and archives before reorganizing, editing or rewriting them.
Your MIDI Manager licence covers the software
Trial / Free, Personal and Professional determine which MIDI Manager features and limits are available to you. They do not include a licence to third-party MIDI/KAR files, songs, arrangements, lyrics, SoundFonts or other content.
