Plan first: add files from Organized Library or Review Queue into the Disk Image Basket and review packing before anything is written.
What you can do
Create a numbered series: generate 3.5-inch FAT12 DS/DD (720 KB) or DS/HD (1.44 MB) IMG images and a companion manifest.
Preserve readable names: use collision-safe DOS 8.3 names in the images, while the manifest retains long display names and disk positions.
Browse and document images: inspect individual IMG files, scan folders of images and generate disk-order and master-catalog reports.
Gotek support: when slot information is available, generate a Gotek Slot Index PDF to help navigate the image set.

Choose your edition
The Disk Image Creator and read-only IMG Viewer require Personal (€39) or Professional (€89). Advanced IMG extract, play, edit and rewrite workflows require Professional. The free edition does not include Disk Image Creator.
Check your target hardware
Not every keyboard and Gotek configuration uses the same disk format. Check the requirements of your equipment first: a FAT12 IMG created by MIDI Manager is not automatically compatible with every instrument.
- Consult the keyboard or sampler manual. Does it expect 3.5-inch DD (720 KB) or HD (1.44 MB) media, and does it support standard FAT12? Some instruments use proprietary disk layouts.
- Check your Gotek firmware and settings, such as FlashFloppy or HxC. Image filenames, slot numbering and floppy-drive options vary by configuration.
- Back up any existing images first. Create one small test IMG and confirm that your instrument can read the MIDI files before preparing your full collection.
